I have resigned to the belief that it is the Professor’s natural state to be without and wanting – it is our purpose.
In times long ago, the want served Discoverists well; an insatiable thirst for newness, the obliteration of barriers and the unknown, the mists of primitive consciousness swept away daily, never knowing if sanctuary or pitfall lay on the other side. This island is now a desert for Discovery and the instincts of its inhabitants are slapped uselessly upon its indifferent shores.
